Guideline for clean intermittent catheterisation

Published on 01/12/10

An expert group convened by AstraTech UK (www.astratechuk.com) has published a new patient-oriented guideline on teaching clean intermittent catheterisation (CIC).

Endorsed by the British Association of Urology Nurses, AstraTech UK says the guideline aims to standardise evidence-based practice, deliver a patient-focused framework, improve compliance and patient satisfaction, promote forward management and adoption of CIC and regular follow-ups, promote and share best practice, and facilitate audit.
