Haematocolpos following herbal treatment for fibroids

The authors present a case history of a woman of African origin who was found to have a gross haematocolpos and uterine fibroids following investigations for severe abdominal pain. This case highlights the importance, when treating a culturally diverse population, of recognising how practices conducted in other countries might contribute to a presenting condition.
