Treatment of early prostate cancer: radical prostatectomy
Authors
Abstract
This article focuses on radical prostatectomy, a surgical option for treatment of early prostate cancer that offers potential benefit over conservative treatment for men under the age of 65. The authors outline the indications for surgery and discuss the process, aftercare and potential complications. They emphasise the importance of giving patients careful counselling and support when choosing between treatment options. Copyright © 2009 Wiley Interface Ltd
